Marcus Tanneberger

Marcus Tanneberger (born August 1987 in Berlin ) is a German violinist.

Career

At the age of three and a half, Marcus Tanneberger began taking violin lessons at the instigation of his parents, and at the age of five he made his first public appearance. At the national competition Jugend musiziert , which takes place under the patronage of the Federal President and sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth , he achieved the highest number of points in his age group twice, once at the age of six and once again at eight years.

From September 1997, Marcus Tanneberger was taught by Professor Ana Chumachenco at the University of Music and Theater in Munich , where he passed the entrance examination in 1998 as a young student. From 1997 to 2001 he was a scholarship holder of the Karl Böhm Foundation in Munich , which made it possible for him to give a number of concerts in Germany and abroad.

Marcus Tanneberger is the first violinist in the Würzburg Appassionato String Quartet, which performs chamber music. The string quartet was founded in 2007 at the University of Music in Würzburg . In parallel to his concert activities, he completed his pilot training at Lufthansa and successfully completed it in autumn 2009.

In 2010 he got his first job at the Lufthansa subsidiary Germanwings as first officer on the Airbus A319. After 4 years, in 2014, he switched back to Lufthansa for long-haul flights and has since been deployed worldwide as first officer on the Airbus A340 and A330 aircraft.

In May 2018 he founded the beauty institute AMOA Beauty Spa in Stuttgart together with his wife Orhideya Tanneberger.

repertoire

The violinist's repertoire includes sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven , Johannes Brahms , Antonín Dvořák , Eduard Franck , Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Franz Schubert and Giuseppe Tartini as well as virtuoso pieces by Antonín Dvořák, Fritz Kreisler , Jules Massenet , Niccolò Paganini , Camille Saint-Saëns , Pablo de Sarasate and Bedřich Smetana as well as violin concertos by Max Bruch , Édouard Lalo , Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy , Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jean Sibelius , Henri Vieuxtemps and Henryk Wieniawski .

Appearances

At the Bach Festival in Weimar in September 2003, Tanneberger played Bach's Triple Concerto with Igor Oistrach and Andreas Lehmann. As a soloist he has performed with the Staatskapelle Weimar , the Münchner Rundfunkorchester , the Orchester symphonique de Montréal , the Hofer Symphoniker , the Baden-Baden Youth Orchestra, the RIAS Youth Orchestra Berlin, the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Liszt School of Music Weimar and the Munich Youth Symphony Orchestra. He played with, among others, George Alexander Albrecht , Howard Golden, Christoph Poppen , Markus Poschner, Tang Muhai and appeared in concerts with Milana Chernyavskaya, Veronika Eberle , Volker Hiemeyer, Dudana Mazmanishvili, Herbert Schuch and Yumiko Urabe.

Since March 2006, Marcus has been playing a violin by Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi from around 1760/70, on loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben for his success at the 11th competition of the German Musical Instrument Fund in Hamburg.
