Marcus von der Lütcke

Marcus von der Lütcke (born July 25, 1603 in Cumlosen ; † November 26, 1686 in Vehlefanz ) was a major general in Brandenburg and chief of a cavalry regiment. He was inducted into the Fruitful Society as No. 411 “The Rising One” .

Life

His parents were Jakob Lütcke and his wife Isabella, née von Möllendorff from the Lindenberg family.

Military career

In 1632 Lütcke was major in the "Burgsdorff" regiment and rose there on March 2, 1639 to lieutenant colonel . Shortly before, the regiment near Bernau was attacked by the Swedes and almost destroyed. Lütcke was one of the few who managed to escape. He then took over the leadership of the remainder and formed four companies . On April 13, 1643 he was raised to the nobility by the emperor.

After the Thirty Years' War Lütcke was 1,660 on June 5 colonel and Imperial in 1670 and kurbrandenburgischer General sergeant on horseback and head of a Cavalry Regiment. On June 24, 1672 he became Major General in Brandenburg. In November 1672 he received his own regiment with which he fought against the Swedes in the Northern War of 1674/79. He distinguished himself in the battle near Nauen , fought at Fehrbellin and took part in the campaign in Pomerania and Prussia. After the peace treaty, Lütcke retired to his Gut Vehlefanz. He died there on November 26, 1686.

In 1648 he bought a share in Klein-Ziethen, in 1649 in Groß-Ziethen and Kremmen and in 1651 in Vehlefanz . All goods were at Kremmen near Oranienburg.

family

His first marriage was to Anna Kegel, who died of the plague. In 1640, he married Apollonia Volkmann († January 24, 1652), the daughter of the Brandenburg colonel Georg Volkmann . The six children from the first and second marriage all died early. After the death of his second wife, he married Florentine von Houwald on May 8, 1661 in Straupitz (born October 30, 1644 in Danzig; † October 12, 1694 in Vehlefanz), daughter of Christoph von Houwald on Straupitz. With her he had four sons and five daughters.

  • Adolf Ernst (born February 3, 1667, † 1691 near Valchis / Hungary). He was an imperial captain and died of the wounds suffered in the battle of Slankamen . The epitaph can be found in the St. Nikolai Church in Kremmen . He was the heir to Vehlefanz, Kremmen, Groß-Ziethen and Klein-Ziethen .

The altar in the St. Nikolai Church in Kremmen from 1686 is a donation from Lütcke.
