Marcus Church (Langenfeld)

The hall church was built in the 14th century and modified in 1529. In 1700 the church was easted , as evidenced by an inscription in the portal . The plastered church has partly corner stones , Romanesque funnel windows and a stone, covered staircase. On its half-hip roof rises a roof tower in the west , which is covered with a pyramid roof, which carries an open lantern . The interior has two-story galleries . The wooden barrel vault is painted with angels. A pointed-arched sacrament house is hidden behind a lattice door . The wooden pulpit is from the 19th century. It is located on a stone column from the 17th century. The organ with 10 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in 1870 by Johann Andreas Hoffmann.
