Marek Tadeusz Kuchciński (born August 9, 1955 in Przemyśl ) is a Polish politician of the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS). Since 2001 he has been a member of the Sejm in the IV, V, VI , VII and VIII electoral terms. Since July 2010, he was one of the Deputy Marshals (vice-president) of the Sejm and November 12, 2015 to August 9, 2019 his 64th birthday, whose chairman (Sejm).
Life
In his youth he was associated with the hippie movement.
In 1980 he was a co-founder of an independent cultural group in Przemyśl. He was one of the editors and publishers of the quarterly magazine "Strych Kulturalny" and organized the "Days of Christian Culture" in Przemyśl. Between 1983 and 1989 he and others organized the sculpture exhibition “Man - God - World”, which was also presented abroad. In the 1980s he worked in the Ogólnopolski Komitet Oporu Rolników (All-Polish Committee of Peasant Resistance).
In 1989 he was in the Obywatelski "Solidarność" (Citizens' Committee "Solidarność") in the Przemyśl Voivodeship and active throughout the country. From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the Catholic right-wing conservative Porozumienie Centrum (Center Agreement - PC). He then joined the Porozumienie Polskich Chrześcijańskich Demokratieów (Agreement of the Polish Christian Democrats - PPChD), in 2001 he became a member of the PiS.
From 1994 to 1999 he was a Przemyśl City Councilor. From 1999 to 2001 he was the deputy voivode of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship (Subcarpathian Region).
In the 2001 Sejm elections , he was elected to the Sejm from the list of PiS and sat on various Sejm commissions. He was deputy chairman of the Polish- Ukrainian parliamentary group.
In the parliamentary elections in 2005 he was re-elected to the Sejm for the PiS, in 2006 he took over the office of chairman of the PiS parliamentary group. In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was with 35,060 votes for the third time a member of the Krosno constituency . On January 12th, 2008 he was elected deputy chairman of the PiS. He was chairman of the Sejm commission for environmental protection.
