Assumption of Mary (Laibstadt)
The Church of the Assumption in Laibstadt 70 is the Roman Catholic parish church in Laibstadt , a part of Heideck , a town in Middle Franconia in the Roth district and thus in the planning region of Nuremberg . The place is in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg and in the Franconian Lake District . The building is registered under the monument number D-5-76-126-70 as an architectural monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.
Building description
The hall church is in ashlar masonry -built building . The neo-Gothic nave , built between 1866 and 1867, is covered with a gable roof and has a flat roof on the inside . A star-ribbed vault vaults the retracted choir . The bell tower , a choir tower from 1472, has a pointed helmet .
Furnishing
The Madonna by Daniel Mauch at the high altar from around 1510 is worth seeing, as are the two side altars in front of the pointed arched choir arch , a stone Pietà from the Rococo period and three epitaphs by pastors from the 18th and 19th centuries. The ceiling painting is by Georg Lang.
