Marija Alexandrowna Kisseljowa ( Russian Мария Александровна Киселёва ; born September 28, 1974 in Kujbyshev , Soviet Union ) is a Russian synchronized swimmer, three-time Olympic champion, two-time world champion and nine-time European champion. Kisseljowa is also a presenter, sports commentator and actress.
Athletic career
Kisseljowa was three times Olympic champion in synchronized swimming with Olga Brusnikina ( 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens ), once in a duet and twice in a team.
In 1998 in Perth and 2003 in Barcelona Kisseljowa became world champion in synchronized swimming with the Russian team.
At the European Championships Kisseljowa was able to win the European Championship nine times, four times in a duet and five times in a team.
Life after exercise
From 2001 to 2005 Kisseljowa presented the quiz program Slaboje sweno on the First Channel , in Germany the format is known as The weakest flies . From 2001 to 2002 she also moderated the sports news on the NTW television channel .
Kisseljowa played the role of Varvara Ivolgina in the Russian television series Idiot in 2003 (based on the novel of the same name by Dostoevsky , directed by Vladimir Bortko ) and in 2007 a small role in the Russian science fiction film Paragraph 78 - The Game of Death .
Kisseljowa is Russian Orthodox and has been married to the swimmer Vladimir Kirssanov since August 2001, with whom she has two daughters - Darja and Alexandra.
