Marika Awtandilowna Pertachija ( Russian Марика Автандиловна Пертахия ; * December 15, 1992 in Gali ) is a Russian freestyle skier . It starts in the moguls disciplines, contained moguls and dual moguls .

Career

Pertachija mainly participated in the European Cup from 2008 to 2010. She got twelve podium finishes, including eight wins, and finished second in the 2008/09 season and first in the 2009/10 season in the Mughal discipline rankings. In the World Cup she made her debut on March 18, 2010 in the Sierra Nevada and took 14th place in the Moguls competition. In the 2010/11 season she came in eight World Cup appearances five times in the top ten and thus reached 13th place in the Moguls World Cup. At the 2011 World Championships in Deer Valley , she achieved eleventh place in the dual moguls and ninth place in the moguls. In March 2011 she won the silver medal in the Moguls and the gold medal in the Dual Moguls at the Junior World Championships in Jyväskylä .

In the following 2011/12 season , seventh place in the World Cup was Pertachija's best result in Méribel . At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Chiesa in Valmalenco she won bronze in the Moguls and silver in the Dual Moguls. In the 2012/13 season she reached her best World Cup placement so far in Calgary with fourth place in the Moguls competition. At the season highlight, the 2013 World Championships in Voss , she finished ninth in the Moguls. In the following 2013/14 season , eighth places in Inawashiro and Voss were their best World Cup results. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she took 17th place in the Mughal competition. In March 2014, she became the Russian Mughal champion.

Pertachija did not manage to place in the top ten in the World Cup in the 2014/15 season , a 14th place was her best season position. At the 2015 World Championships on Kreischberg , she came 17th in the Dual Moguls and 10th in the Moguls competition. In March, she won the Mughal silver medal at the 2015 Winter Universiade in the Sierra Nevada . In the 2015/16 season she achieved six top 10 results in eight World Cup starts, which was enough for eleventh place in the Moguls World Cup. In March 2016, she became the Russian Mughal champion for the second time. In the following season 2016/17 she finished twelfth in the Moguls World Cup with four top 10 results. At the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada, she was fifth in the dual moguls and fourth in the moguls competition.

Pertachija achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup on December 9, 2017 at the Mughal competition in Ruka .
