Mario Luis Bautista Maulión

Mario Luis Bautista Maulión (born December 4, 1934 in Carcaraña ) is old archbishop of Paraná .

Life

Mario Luis Bautista Maulión was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Rosario on June 11, 1960 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 21, 1986 auxiliary bishop in Rosario and titular bishop of Febiana . The Archbishop of Rosario, Jorge Manuel López , donated him episcopal ordination on May 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Ubaldo Calabresi , Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina , and Desiderio Elso Collino , Bishop of Lomas de Zamora .

On May 8, 1995, he was appointed Bishop of San Nicolás de los Arroyos and on July 9 of the same year he was appointed to the office. He was appointed Archbishop of Paraná on April 29, 2003 and was introduced to the office on August 27 of the same year.

On November 4, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
