Marita Ulvskog
Marita Ulvskog (born September 4, 1951 in Luleå ) is a Swedish politician of the Social Democratic Labor Party (SAP).
Ulvskog studied at the College of Journalism in Stockholm and after graduating she worked as a reporter and journalist, including for some newspapers and local radio. From 1990 to 1994 she was the editor-in-chief and editor-in-chief of the Falun newspaper Dala Democrats . During this time she worked from 1982 to 1990 as press secretary and political advisor to Ingvar Carlsson , who later rose to become prime minister. Ulvskog was appointed Minister for the Public Service in 1994, and in 1996 she became Minister of Culture under Göran Persson , and she held this office until 2004, after which she became party secretary of the SAP. From 1998 to 2009 she was also a member of the Riksdag . In 2009 she moved to the European Parliament .
