Marjaniwka ( Ukrainian Мар'янівка ; Russian Марьяновка Marjanowka ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Pyatychatky Raion with 730 inhabitants (2012).

The village was founded in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is located in the west of Pyatychatky Raion on the left bank of the Shovta 3 km south of the town of Shovti Vody and 25 km southwest of the Pyatychatky Rajon center , where the nearest passenger station is located. The demographic development of the village is negative. While 1016 inhabitants were counted in the 2001 census, the population fell to 775 by 2008 and to only 730 by 2012. The local population is increasingly complaining about the effects of pollution in their village.
Community structure
Marjaniwka is the administrative center of the district council of the same name . This borders in the west on the Rajon Petrowe belonging to the Oblast Kirowohrad , in the northwest on the city Shovti Vody and in the southeast on the municipality Chervon belonging to the Rajon Krywyj Rih . The total area of the district council is 42.837 km² and the total population is 733 inhabitants (2012). In addition to Marjaniwka, the Landsratsgemeinde also includes the village of Wolotschajiwka (Ukrainian Волочаївка , Russian Волочаевка / Wolotschajewka ) ⊙ with 3 residents (2012) , which is 3.5 km south of this .
