Saksahan ( Ukrainian Саксагань ; Russian Саксагань Saksagan ) is a village in Pyatychatky Raion in the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with 2500 inhabitants (2012).
The village founded by the Cossacks was first mentioned in writing in 1738. Saksahan is located on the right bank of the river of the same name, the Saksahan , which is dammed here to the Makorty reservoir , and its tributary, the Losowatka . The M 04 / E 50 highway runs near the village and connects the town with the Pyatychatky district center , 18 km away, in the west and the Dnipro oblast center 103 km in the east. Saksahan has a train station on the railway line between Pyatychatky and Dnipropetrovsk.
Saksahan is the administrative center of the district council of the same name , to which the village of Tschumaky (Ukrainian Чумаки ⊙ ) with 629 inhabitants also belongs. The total area of the district council is 112.835 km² and the population is 3,166.
