Marjorie Bennett (born January 15, 1896 in York , Western Australia , † June 14, 1982 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , United States ) was an Australian actress .

Life

Bennet grew up as the younger sister of the silent film actress Enid Bennett and stood next to this in 1917 in The Girl, Glory for the first time in front of the camera. In the following year she was seen in three more silent films, whereupon she initially withdrew from the film business. In 1946 she returned to the screen with an extra role in the Basil Rathbone - Sherlock Holmes film Hunt for Music Boxes and in the following year she had a supporting role in Charles Chaplin's Oscar- nominated film Monsieur Verdoux - The Woman Killer of Paris .
