action

Zack Thomas and Joe Jarrett witness a robbery on a carriage that is on its way to Galveston. Zack and Joe, who did not know each other before, managed to put the gang of gangster Matson to flight. Zack discovers a bag with 100,000 dollars, but Joe can take it from him. Joe escapes with the bag to an orphanage where he grew up. He deposited the money in Harvey Burden's bank. Burden is a scammer who helped Zack make him the biggest player in town.

Zack learns that Joe is in Galveston. He wants to meet with him, but Matson tries to kill him. But that is thwarted by Joe, who wounds the bandit. Joe is on his way to Maxine Richter, who owns a river steamer that Joe wants to use the money to convert into a casino. Zack is upset that someone dares to compete with him. Zack and his men want to hijack the steamer at the opening. Neither Zack nor Joe know that Burden teamed up with Matson. His plan is for Zack and Joe to fight each other and then beat the weakened winner with Matson and take over the steamer. Maxine and Zack's girlfriend Elya Carlson can finally win the two opponents for a collaboration. Matson's gang is defeated, Burden is arrested, and in the end there is a double wedding.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films called the film a “Western satire with wit and star cast”, which was “sometimes macabre and ironic, but not all-round fun”. The film magazine Cinema found, “the flat Western persiflage lives from the nonchalant main actors and the attraction of the sex bombs Anita Ekberg and Ursula Andress. Conclusion: nonsense westerns with few laughs. "

Variety complained that the film lost itself too much in sex and romance and could not maintain the tension.
