Mark Herrier (born October 6, 1954 in Santa Barbara , California ) is an American actor and director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Herrier attended the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria , where he trained as an actor. He then worked first at local theaters in Seattle , where he worked in 1978 at the Seattle Repertory Theater in a production by Henrik Ibsen's master builder Solness .

He later moved to New York , where he made his Broadway debut in a production of the musical Brigadoon in 1981 . He played Donalbain in William Shakespeare's Macbeth the following year, but turned his back on the theater when he was cast in one of the leading roles in the teen comedy Porky’s . He also appeared as Billy in the two sequels in 1983 and 1985.

His Hollywood career didn't really get off the ground , though , except in the three Porky’s films in the 1980s he appeared in The Tank alongside James Garner and in the comedy True Men alongside James Belushi , but the latter should have been so far last feature film appearance remain. He then had irregular guest appearances on television series such as Murder is Her Hobby , A Blessed Team and Practice - The Lawyers . In 1991 he directed the horror film Skinner with Dee Wallace and Jill Schoelen .
