Jill Schoelen (born March 21, 1963 in Burbank , California ) is an American actress .

life and career

Schoelen is a daughter of the fashion designer Dorothy Schoelen. She learned acting at the Acting for Life Theater in her hometown. Schoelen made his debut alongside Crispin Glover and Nicolas Cage in a larger role in the television film Best of Times (1981). In the comedy Die Chaotenclique (1983) by Joel Schumacher she was seen in a small supporting role on the side of Adam Baldwin , Mr. T and Gary Busey .

In the television drama Happy Endings (1983) Schoelen played one of the bigger roles for which she was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1985 . In the crime drama Boys Out of Control (1985) she played alongside Emilio Estevez . In the adventure film Adventure in Toy Land (1986), Schoelen played on the side of Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore .

In the thriller The Stepfather (1987) Schoelen played the role of a teenager who increasingly distrusts the stepfather ( Terry O'Quinn ). For this role she won an award from the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya in 1987 and was nominated for the Young Artist Award in 1988. She took on the lead role in the horror film Skinner ... Skinned Alive (1991). After a nine-year hiatus, she appeared in a leading role in the short film She Kept Silent (2004).

In the late 1980s, Schoelen was in a relationship with Brad Pitt , her film partner from Death Party II (1989), for a few months . Between 1993 and 2001 she was married to the composer Anthony Marinelli . The marriage resulted in two sons.
