Adam Baldwin
Adam Baldwin (born February 27, 1962 in Winnetka , Illinois ) is an American actor .

Adam Baldwin graduated from New Trier Township High School East in Winnetka near Chicago in the US state of Illinois . He made his debut in the comedy The Schoolyard Rats of Chicago (1980), in which he played one of the bigger roles alongside Matt Dillon and Joan Cusack . In the comedy Die Chaotenclique (1983) he appeared alongside Mr. T and Paul Rodriguez . One of his best-known roles is that of the soldier Animal Mother in Stanley Kubrick's anti-war film Full Metal Jacket (1987) .
In the TV movie used in the inferno (1996) he played a starring role, the same year he was in the television series Countdown X - Alarm in Space as Colonel Jack Riles to see. In 1998 he starred in the award-winning miniseries From the Earth to the Moon . Baldwin was nominated for the Video Premiere Award in 2001 for his leading role in the television film Prophecy of the Tiger (1999) . In the period film The Patriot (2000) he appeared alongside Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger as Captain Wilkins . In the thriller Murderous Temptation (2000) he played the role of Captain Wagner alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Rebecca De Mornay .
He is known to science fiction fans for his role as Jayne Cobb in the television series Firefly - Der Aufbruch der Serenity (2002) and the film based on it, Serenity - Escape into New Worlds (2005). He also had an appearance in the first season of the television series Bones in 2005 . With the leading actor David Boreanaz he already played in the last season of Angel - Hunters of Darkness . From September 2007 to January 2012 he served as John Casey in Action - comedy television series Chuck to see.
Baldwin won a 2006 Science Fiction Genre Award (Best Supporting Actor / Television) for his role as Jayne Cobb in the television series Firefly .
Baldwin is married to actress Ami Julius and has three children. He is not related to the Baldwin brothers .
