Markus Vallazza

Markus Vallazza (born August 8, 1936 in Ortisei in Val Gardena ; † April 21, 2019 in Bozen ) was a South Tyrolean painter , graphic artist and illustrator .

Life

Vallazza studied in Florence from 1956 to 1957 (Istituto D'Arte di Porta Romana). He then taught at the secondary school and art school in Ortisei. Vallazza lived at times in Paris , Salzburg , Vienna , Augsburg and Berlin , most recently in Bolzano.

Exhibitions

Since 1962 many exhibitions in different places in Europe ( Bologna , Copenhagen , Vienna, Berlin, etc.) have been dedicated to Vallazza's work.

Since 1972 there have been around 20 illustrations for various literary models, such as B. on Homer , Horaz , Oswald von Wolkenstein , Edgar Allan Poe , Friederike Mayröcker , Giacomo Casanova and Dante'sDivine Comedy ” (1994–2004).
