Marsel Efroimski ( Hebrew מרסל אפרוימסקי; * February 13, 1995 in Israel ) is an Israeli chess player .

Life

Marsel Efroimski, whose parents come from the Soviet Union , grew up in Kfar Saba . There she joined the local chess club at the age of seven. She attends Shevah Mofet High School in Tel Aviv . At the attached chess academy she is trained by Grandmaster Oleksandr Chusman . Before that, her trainer was FIDE Master Igor Nor.

successes

She won the world championships for female youth in 2007 in the U12 age group and in 2009 in the U14 age group . Both world championships took place in Kemer . In 2009 in Fermo , she was also the U14 European girl champion. For the Israeli women's national team, she played on the reserve board at the Chess Olympiads in Dresden in 2008 and Chanty-Mansiysk in 2010 and on the second board at the 2012 Chess Olympiads in Istanbul and 2016 in Baku . At the 2013 Women's European Team Championship in Warsaw , she played on the first board after playing on the third board at the 2011 Women's European Team Championship in Porto Carras . For Rischon Le-Zion , she played on the top board at the European Women's Club Cups in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

In June 2011 she received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). It all achieved the necessary standards with over-fulfillment. She achieved the first norm at a tournament in Kfar Saba in July 2010, the second in the master group of the 43rd Chess Festival in Biel / Bienne in July 2010 and the final one in the A group of the Open in Zagreb in April 2011.

Efroimski has held the title of Grand Master of Women (WGM) since September 2016 , she fulfilled the required standards in July 2013 at an IM tournament in Jerusalem , in August 2014 at an IM tournament in Olomouc and in June 2016 at the Gyula Sax Memorial in Zalakaros . These three norms were all norms for the title of International Master (IM), so that Efroimski was also appointed IM on condition that she achieved an Elo rating of at least 2400.
