Martin Umbel

Martin Dolde (born January 25, 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a German engineer and church politician. From 1999 to 2001 he was President of the German Evangelical Church Congress .

Martin Dolde's professional career after leaving school in Stuttgart and studying in Esslingen is closely linked to Daimler-Benz AG . Most recently he was head of logistics at DaimlerChrysler 's Stuttgart-Untertürkheim plant .

In addition to his professional duties, he is the local chronicle of Stuttgart-Wangen . He is churchly involved in the Evangelical Church in Württemberg . He was a member of the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th regional synods. In the 13th Synod from 2001 to 2007 he was on the Council of Elders and on the Finance Committee.

He was in the lead of the Open Church discussion group . In terms of program, he has repeatedly spoken out in favor of the unification of the Baden and Württemberg regional churches.

From 1987 to 2007 he was a member of the Presidium of the German Evangelical Church Congress and from 1999 to 2001 President of the German Evangelical Church Congress.

Honors

In 2006, Dolde received the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit .

In March 1992, Dolde was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
