Erika Reihlen

Erika Reihlen , b. Niebuhr, (born August 2, 1936 in Brühl near Cologne ) is a dentist and medical director and holds numerous socio-political offices. From 1991 to 1993 she was President of the German Evangelical Church Congress . She lives in Berlin .

Live and act

Erika Reihlen graduated from high school in 1956 and then began studying dentistry in Cologne and Freiburg . She was promoted to Dr. med. dent. PhD.

After a family and education period (wife and mother of three children) and various voluntary commitments, she joined the health service in 1976 and became a dentist for public health.

In 1981 she became the head of the dental service in Berlin-Steglitz and in 1984 was appointed medical director.

From 1985 to 1989 Erika Reihlen was deputy chairwoman of the working group for children's dentistry and prophylaxis .

Erika Reihlen is married to Helmut Reihlen , the former director of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN).

Other functions

Erika Reihlen is u. a. Member of the board of the women's project association BORA e. V. in Berlin, President of the German Evangelical Church Congress (1991–1993) and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Evangelical Academy Berlin-Brandenburg.
