Martin Jarvis

Martin Jarvis OBE (born August 4, 1941 in Cheltenham ) is an English actor and voice actor .

He was at the Whitgift School and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art , after which he was mainly active as a stage actor. From 1965 his first television role followed in the series Doctor Who .

He began speaking on BBC Radio 4 in the 1980s. There he read columns and radio plays. In the 1990s he could be heard in cartoons and from 2003 in computer games.

He has been married to Rosalind Ayres since 1974 . In 2000 he was appointed Officer of the British Empire .
