Martin Muehle
Martin Muehle (born January 26, 1969 in Porto Alegre , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a German - Brazilian opera and concert singer ( tenor ).
Life
Muehle grew up in his hometown and received his first singing lessons in Montevideo . In 1992 he moved to Germany and studied singing at the Lübeck University of Music , where he obtained his academic singing diploma in 1997. He completed his studies in master classes with Carlo Bergonzi in Busseto and with Alfredo Kraus in Santander .
He received his first permanent engagement at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven and his first guest engagements led him to the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl , the International Herrenchiemsee Festival and the Stadttheater Baden near Vienna . From 2002 to 2004 he lived in Austria and then went back to Brazil, where he developed into one of the leading spinto tenors (Tenore spinto) in South America.
During this time, guest appearances at opera houses in Europe and South America such as the Opéra Bastille (Paris) , the Teatro Massimo (Palermo) , the Leipzig Opera House , the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb , the Theatro Municipal (São Paulo) and the Teatro Amazonas (Manaus) . Some of his appearances have been broadcast on radio, television and the Internet. Muehle embodied the role of Stolzing in excerpts from Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Faust in excerpts from Arrigo Boitos Mefistofele in a concert with the Croatian Radio Symphony Orchestra broadcast live on the Internet and on the radio. He made his role debut as Radames in the summer of 2014 at the St. Margarethen Opera Festival in the opera Aida , which was broadcast live on TV.
In the concert area, Muehle's focus as an interpreter is on works of the Romantic era.
He has been living in Germany again since 2013, and from the 2013/14 to 2014/15 season Martin Muehle was a member of the Mannheim National Theater.
