Martin Wierstra

Martin Wierstra (born May 29, 1928 in Amsterdam ; † October 23, 1985 there ) was a Dutch track cyclist .

Three times - in 1957, 1960 and 1961 - Martin Wierstra was the Dutch champion in the standing race , in 1962 he was third again. At the UCI track world championships in 1960 in Karl-Marx-Stadt , he took second place in the amateur standers, behind the leadership of pacemaker Felicien Van Ingelghem .

After retiring from active cycling in 1962, Wierstra worked as the Dutch national coach of the Steher.
