Niclaas "Nico" Been (born December 17, 1945 in Groningen ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

In 1973 Nico Been finished third in the Dutch championship in the standing race , and the following year he was second. In 1975 he won the title, and at the World Track Championships in Rocourt that year he was fifth. 1978 and 1979 was again third in this discipline at national championships. On February 2, 1978, Been set a world record for the hour behind pacemaker Joop Stakenburg at the Ferry-Dusika-Hallenstadion in Vienna with 74.272 kilometers .

After finishing his cycling career, Nico Been lived temporarily on Lake Garda and rented holiday apartments.
