Patrick Kos (born September 21, 1986 in Alkmaar ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2002 Patrick Kos was the Dutch runner-up in the individual time trial on the road in the youth class. In 2003 he became the Dutch junior champion in the points race on the track , the following year junior champion in the scratch and was able to occupy further podium places. In 2007 he won the Groeistad Klassiker road race in Amersfoort . In 2008 he was third in the Dutch championships in the derny race .

In 2009, Patrick Kos and Arno van der Zwet won the UIV Cup in Alkmaar , a junior competition for six-day drivers . He was six times the Dutch champion in the standing race and in 2010 European runner-up on his home track in Alkmaar. On September 17, 2011, he won the title of standing European champion behind the pacemaker Willem Fack at the Reichelsdorfer Keller cycling track in Nuremberg . In 2014, he finished third at the European Standing Championships.

In 2018 Kos ended his cycling career.

Patrick Kos is the son of the 1981 world champion, René Kos , who occasionally also acted as his pacemaker .
