action

At the time of the First World War : The native Dutch Margaretha Geertruida cell makes her living under her stage name Mata Hari as an erotic nude dancer in Paris, which allows her a luxurious life. Due to its popularity, it runs in upper circles and tied several times with wealthy men. At a reception given by the Countess du Maine, she met Capitaine François Lasalle and then took him home for a nap. Here the viewer learns that this meeting did not happen by chance, but was arranged by a spy ring. It turns out that Mata Hari puts her contacts at the service of the German secret service. She makes documents that François carries with her available to a contact who makes copies of them outside the home overnight while François sleeps. Nevertheless, Mata Hari falls in love with François. He would even marry her, but Greta makes excuses. She knows too well that her espionage activities will then be limited.

She only accepts the next job under pressure. Your clients know about the liaison with François. She is threatened that something would happen to François if she refused to work with the Germans in the future. She is said to steal plans for a French ammunition dump from a safe. She is supposed to coax the key to the safe from Colonel Pelletier at a lunchtime. The endeavor succeeds, a small mistake undoes Mata Hari's chauffeur Julien, who now comes out as her protector and an inofficial unofficial accomplice. The handover of the plans in Barcelona should be amply rewarded. Mata Hari has to withdraw the money from a bank account in Paris, which later turns out to be a trap. Mata Hari is arrested when leaving the bank. A French military court later sentenced her to death. The firing live with no dependents. François has since fallen. Julien was also arrested.
