Matej Vidović (born April 14, 1993 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian ski racer . He specializes in the slalom discipline.

Career

Matej Vidović completed his first FIS races in 2008. Since then, he has been regularly participating in such competitions, and so far he has won twelve of them. On January 5, 2012, he made his debut in a slalom in Zagreb in the Alpine Ski World Cup . His best result to date in this series of competitions was achieved on March 5, 2017 when he finished 21st in the slalom competition in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia . At the end of the season he finished 137th in the overall World Cup ranking.

Vidović has already taken part in slalom races at Alpine World Ski Championships several times . His best result was a 26th place at the 2015 World Championships in Beaver Creek, USA . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 28th place in the same discipline. In the 2017/18 season, he won the slalom classification of the European Cup.
