Matthias Nemec (born August 31, 1990 in Opava , Czechoslovakia ) is a German - Czech ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Heilbronner Falken from DEL2 since May 2019 .

Career

Matthias Nemec began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HC Slezan Opava in the Czech Republic, and in 2004 moved to EV Ravensburg , for whose youth teams he was eligible to play from 2004 to 2012. In addition, he played from 2007 to 2010 for the second team of EV Ravensburg in the fourth -rate regional ice hockey league .

He made his debut in the professional team of the Ravensburg Towerstars in the 2011/2012 season in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .

In the 2013/2014 season he also received a license to support the Augsburg Panthers , for which he made his DEL debut in January 2014 .

He spent another four years with the Ravensburg Towerstars (DEL2) until the 2015/16 season, and in 2016 he signed a two-year contract with SC Riessersee (DEL2). Then he was under contract for one year at EHC Freiburg , for which he achieved a catch quota of 91.1 percent in 34 main round games. Due to an injury, Nemec was not active for Freiburg in the play-downs. For the 2019/20 season he switched to the Heilbronner Falken .
