Mauritius David Harpprecht , also Moritz David Harpprecht (born July 14, 1664 in Tübingen ; † September 4, 1712 in Wetzlar ), was a German legal scholar .

Mauritius David Harpprecht comes from a legal family in Württemberg. His father was Johann Christoph Harpprecht , whose father was Christoph Harpprecht (1596–1637) and whose father Johannes Christoph Harpprecht (1560–1639) is the progenitor of the family. So this is Mauritius' great grandfather. Mauritius itself had a brother, Ferdinand Christoph Harpprecht . Harpprecht married on September 21, 1689 in Stuttgart the daughter of the bailiff Johann Valentin Moser von Filseck, Anna Rosine (1671–1734) had eight children with her, among them Johann Valentin and Johann Heinrich Freiherr von Harpprecht .

Life

Mauritius David Harpprecht was born on July 14, 1664 in Tübingen. After studying law at the University of Tübingen , he received his doctorate in August 1689 and became a court court advocate . Because he proved to be talented there, the imperial chancellery sent him several times to other courts ( Kurmainz , Wolfenbüttel , Eichstätt , Dillingen , Baden , Hohenzollern , Fürstenberg and Nassau ). He also made a professional trip to Berlin . In the course of one he stayed in Vienna for a year . He also worked as a princely councilor in Hohenzollern and as a countial councilor in Geyer . 1703 Government of Stuttgart appointed, he was in 1707 Wuerttemberg ducal Subdelegierter to Wetzlar . From 1711 he sat on the Saxon court. Harpprecht died on September 4, 1712 and was buried in the parish church in Wetzlar.

Johann August Ritter von Eisenhart described Harpprecht as "a clever practical lawyer and a skilled diplomatic agent". His character was shaped by loyalty to duty and firmness.
