Max Kolbe

Max Kolbe (born April 14, 1859 in Nimkowitz , Steinau district , † April 22, 1925 in Berlin ) was a teacher and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kolbe attended elementary school in Steinau , the higher middle school (secondary school with Latin) in Striegau , the secondary school at the Zwinger in Breslau and the universities in Breslau and Göttingen . During his studies he became a member of the Raczeks fraternity in 1878 and of the Brunsviga fraternity in 1881 . From 1886 to 1888 he was a trial candidate, assistant teacher at the Progymnasium in Striegau and then until 1892 a senior teacher at the Realgymnasium in Tarnowitz . Then he was district school inspector in Oberglogau until 1898 , seminar director in Pilchowitz and Rawitsch until 1905 and, from 1905, provincial school councilor in Danzig . In Oberglogau he was a city councilor, chairman of the association for horticulture, beekeeping and poultry farming. In Rawitsch he was a board member of the Association for Art and Science, the Red Cross Association, the Fatherland Women's Association and also a member of other scientific and fatherland associations. He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class .

From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Posen 6 Fraustadt , Lissa and the German Reich Party .
