Media is a settlement ( borough ) and the administrative seat in Delaware County in the US state of Pennsylvania . The place with a good 5,000 inhabitants belongs to the metropolitan area of Philadelphia ( metropolitan region Delaware Valley ).
The place has supraregional importance due to a break-in by the Citizens' Commission to Investigate the FBI on March 8, 1971 into the office of the FBI program COINTELPRO, which was previously secret, to discredit politically undesirable opponents.
