Meds is the fifth studio album by the British band Placebo . On March 6, 2006, the pre-singles "Song To Say Goodbye" and "Because I Want You" were released. The album followed a week later.

history

Placebo was taken up by Meds with the support of the French Goldfrapp producer Dimitri Tikovoi within three months of winter 2005/2006 at the RAK Studios in London. In contrast to their previous studio album Sleeping with Ghosts , the band largely dispensed with electronic elements and put guitar , keyboard and drums in the foreground.

Placebo also released the album as a special edition with a DVD. It contains, among other things, excerpts from her concert at Wembley 2004 and demo versions of various songs.

In January 2007, Meds was re-released in the US. The song "In the Cold Light of Morning" is missing on this version. Instead, three other songs, including the Kate Bush song "Running Up That Hill", found space on the CD.
