music

Meet the Enemy can be classified as a stylistic combination of Melodic Death Metal and Folk Metal . A variety of instruments were used. In addition to the typical instruments of a metal band such as electric guitar , electric bass and drums , violin , hurdy-gurdy , bagpipes and uilleann pipes , various flutes and whistles and a mandola or mandolin were used. As a guest musician, Fredy Schnyder from Nucleus Torn played the dulcimer on this song . The singing is shaped by Chrigel Glanzmann's Screaming .

text

The text is only written in English . He tells of the first meeting of the Helvetii and the Romans , the two rivals in the Gallic War . At Lake Geneva , Caesar asked the Helvetii for a few weeks "to think it over" in order to strengthen his army and then ultimately to inform them that he would not let them pass through the area he controlled west of Lake Geneva. The Helvetii then took an alternative route over a narrow mountain pass and later crossed the Arar . When about three quarters of the tribesmen had already passed the river, one night six Roman legions attacked the Helvetii in their sleep at the Battle of Bibracte and defeated all Helvetii who had remained east of the Arars.
