The album entered the Swiss charts at number 78 for a week when it was released worldwide in early September 2012. One of the few reviews that were written for the live album comes from "Hanns" from the Swiss Webzine Tracks magazine . No rating was given, but he expressed himself positively about the album:

“[…] While Eluveitie's Nuclear Blast albums are extremely dense and sometimes almost overloaded, the band loosens the complexity of the songs on stage and reveals the structures more clearly. This makes their music more accessible, especially since the growl singing is easier to endure live in the long run. A must for Eluveitie fans anyway. If the band has been too intense up to now, you can find a new approach here. [...] "

- Hanns

“André” from the Swiss webzine Medazzarock also expressed himself very positively in his review of Live on Tour and wrote: “On the CD, you can witness that the band around Chrigel Glanzmann is a live force with incredible penetration. […] Great. “However, no rating was given.
