Melinho (born March 26, 1980 in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste ; actually: Tarciso Rogério Pereira) is a Brazilian football player .
Career
Melinho played in his youth with União Barbarense in his hometown of Santa Bárbara d'Oeste . At the age of 18 he tried his hand at Europe for the first time, but his trip to the Spanish FC Villarreal was over after six months. He came back home and first played for Guarani FC in Campinas , a metropolis near his hometown , before rejoining Barbarense. In 2002/03 he tried his hand at the Athens club Akratitos Ano Liosia in Greece , but the engagement did not last beyond one season.
After half a year without a club, he spent half a year with the Brazilian second division club Portuguesa from the metropolis of São Paulo , half a year with the Czech first division club SFC Opava and again six months back at União Barbarense.
In the 13 games for Opava, Melinho, who plays in the attacking central midfield, made a name for himself in the Czech Republic and was signed by SK Sigma Olomouc from the 2005/06 season . There he was able to establish himself as a regular player in the Gambrinus League in the long term . He spent four years in a row in Olomouc / Olomouc, then in 2009 the German second division club TuS Koblenz expressed interest in several Czech players. Finally, the Brazilian and his Czech club colleague Martin Hudec were loaned to the Koblenz “Schängel” for the 2009/10 season.
In the 2. Bundesliga Melinho was a regular player in the central control point in midfield from the start, but after his good initial form deteriorated and TuS Koblenz found itself in the middle of the relegation battle, he lost his regular place and was no longer used in the second half of the season.
For the 2010/2011 season he will return to Sigma Olomouc. TuS Koblenz decided not to tie Melinho to the club. His contract was terminated there in September.
In January 2011 he signed a contract with the Slovak first division club DAC Dunajská Streda until the end of the 2011/12 season. He came to six missions and scored one goal. However, his contract was not renewed in the summer.
After six months without a club, he returned to his hometown club União Barbarense and played with the club in the Campeonato Paulista Serie A-2 .
