The rösle GmbH & Co. KG is a group of companies in metal processing with headquarters in Marktoberdorf in Ostallgäu . It consists of the two subsidiaries located at the same location:

  • Rösle GmbH & Co. KG , manufacturer and distributor of stainless steel kitchen tools and grills
  • Grömo GmbH & Co. KG , manufacturer and distributor of roof drainage accessories

Rösle and GRÖMO have the same historical roots. The group of companies has a total of over 300 employees.

history

The original company was founded in 1888 by the master plumber Karl Theodor Rösle from Schwabmünchen near Augsburg in the market town in the foothills of the Alps, which was then still called Oberdorf as a small plumber. Today's GRÖMO goes back to this original line of business.

As early as 1903, the company was expanded to include the production of cookware, initially in enamel . After the death of Karl Theodor Rösle in 1907, his two sons Karl and Georg took over the further fortunes of the now "Gebrüder RÖSLE KG" (GRÖMO is an acronym for "Gebrüder Rösle Markt Oberdorf"). The Gebrüder-Rösle-Straße in Marktoberdorf is named after them.

In the years that followed, chrome-plated and brass kitchen items were further developed. The next step followed in the 1930s with the first rustproof kitchen appliances and cutlery at Rösle. The range of household and hotel appliances was systematically expanded after the Second World War, and stainless steel 18/10 was the standard material for the Rösle range, which was initially aimed at professional catering.

Gradually, the program was also developed further into the field of semi-professional household kitchen tools.
