Mezőberény [ ˈmɛzøːbɛreːɲ ] ( German Maisbrünn , Slovak Poľný Berinčok ) is a town in Békés County in Hungary . The city is located in the Great Hungarian Plain , where the main road 47 from Debrecen to Szeged and the railway line from Budapest to Bucharest cross each other .
