Michael "Mike" Devin (born October 5, 1987 in Scituate , Massachusetts ) is a former American ice hockey player who has played for SC Riessersee in the 2nd national ice hockey league during his active career . Michael Devin has a twin brother, Joe Devin , who was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Devin began his career with the Nanaimo Clippers in the British Columbia Hockey League . After a year he moved to Cornell University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . There he played four seasons and was able to celebrate the NCAA championship with his team in the 2009/10 season. The following year, Devin was elected to the NCAA Third All-Star Team.

For the 2011/12 season Devin moved to the ECHL team of the Elmira Jackals , with whom he reached the conference semifinals, but was eliminated in the series with 1: 4 against the Florida Everblades . In June 2012, his move to SC Riessersee in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey was announced after he had contacted Tim Regan .

After a season, the American left the German second division and moved to the Coventry Blaze in the British Elite Ice Hockey League .

For the 2014/15 season , Devin returned to the United States and subsequently joined the South Carolina Stingrays in November 2014 with play operations in the ECHL. After only seven ECHL games, the defender was released from his contract in the same month and then no longer appeared in professional ice hockey.
