Michael Gampe

Michael Gampe (born April 20, 1950 in Mannersdorf am Leithagebirge ) is an Austrian actor and theater director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Michael Gampe began studying and worked as a primary school teacher for two years before training as an actor at the Vienna Conservatory . As such and as a director, he has worked on various Austrian and German theaters since 1975. In Austria these have so far been the Vienna Academy Theater , the Landestheater Salzburg and Tirol , the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Theater Drachengasse and the City Theater Klagenfurt , in Germany Gampe has worked at the Berlin Hebbel Theater , the Stadttheater Ingolstadt , the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and the Munich Residenztheater . In the 2000s he repeatedly staged at the Reichenau Festival , in 2016 he was responsible for the staging of Ken Ludwig's farce Otello must not burst at the Kobersdorf Castle Games .

Since the early 1980s, Gampe has also regularly appeared in front of the camera in Austrian and German productions. He had his first role in the literary film adaptation of the student Gerber based on the novel by Friedrich Torberg . Later he was a frequent guest with the Rosenheim cops and in series like Unser Charly or SOKO Kitzbühel .

In 2010 Michael Gampe was a member of the jury at the Theatertreffen German-speaking acting students . He lives in Vienna and has been working as a freelancer since 1987.
