Michal Altrichter

Michal Altrichter SJ (born June 19, 1965 in Čeladná ) is a Czech Jesuit, religious scholar and priest .

Life

After graduating from high school in Nový Jičín in 1989 and studying at the CMBF theological faculty in Litoměřice (1984 to 1989), he joined the Jesuits in 1985. From 1990 to 1993 Altrichter was one of the listeners of the philosophical lectures of Emerich Coreth in the internal study program at the University of Innsbruck . In 1993 he wrote his doctoral thesis Francisco Suárez with regard to the Bohemian area and then lectured historical philosophy at the Theological Faculty in Olomouc ( Palacký University ). At the same time he worked as a chaplain of the university youth . In 1996 he continued to study theology in Munich , Berlin and Karlsruhe , in 1997 he took part in a study exchange with Italy . He continued his studies in 1998 and 1989 in the internal study program at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome , where he received his doctorate in theology with the thesis La Religosità di Leoš Janáček . Altrichter has been working as a specialist assistant at the pastoral and spiritualistic chair in Olomouc since 1999. His specialty is theological anthropology and spiritualism.

Act

Altrichter works in the Olomouc Centru Aletti . He is the superior of the Olomouc unit and pastor at the Church of Our Lady Sněžná in Olomouc. The lack of study documents prompted Altrichter to translate works. In his lectures he leans on Karl Rahner , above all on his work Hörer des Wort . In addition to his apprenticeship in the Czech Republic , he often works as a guest lecturer in Zurich , Padua , Milan , Frankfurt am Main and Munich . He was a member of the editorial team of Omega magazine , the editorial board of a theological collection and chairman of the Radaktionsrat at the Refugium publishing house , senator of the Palácký Academic University , member of the science council, member of the specialist council for practical theology and member of the Czech section of the European Society of Catholic Theologians and the International Jesphil Association in Munich.

Works

Altrichter published some studies, articles and reviews in different languages. Numerous translations have also appeared. He deals with the interdisciplinary approach in the field of theology and music.
