Migjen Basha (born January 5, 1987 in Lausanne ) is an Albanian - Swiss football player who has been under contract with Melbourne Victory since 2019 .
Career
society
Migjen Basha spent his youth at FC Lausanne-Sport . In January 2006 he moved to Italy for AS Lucchese Libertas in what was then Serie C1 . In July 2007 he moved to FC Esperia Viareggio in Serie C2 for half a season . In January 2008, we went on to AC Rimini 1912 where he spent his first appearances in the Serie B completed. Within Serie B, he moved to Frosinone Calcio in July 2009 , and then to Atalanta Bergamo in July 2010 , who loaned him to Turin FC in July 2011 . Turin FC definitely took it over in July 2012. With this club he managed in the season 2011/12 promotion to the Serie A . After 9 years in Italy, he moved back to Switzerland for free to FC Luzern in the Super League in August 2015 , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2017.
At the beginning of February 2016, Basha was loaned from FC Luzern to Italy in Serie B at Como Calcio until June 30, 2016 . In August 2016 he moved to FC Bari 1908 in Serie B in Italy. From summer 2018, he played in Greece with Aris Thessaloniki and twelve months later he moved to Melbourne Victory in Australia .
National team
Basha completed a total of 15 international junior matches from the U-17 to the U-21 for Switzerland, scoring two goals.
He made his international debut for the Albanian national team on March 22, 2013 in the World Cup qualifying match against Norway .
In the UEFA EURO 2016 in France, he was in the Albanian contingent added. He was only used in the third game against Romania, but was then part of the starting line-up. Despite a 1-0 win in this game, the team was eliminated as one of the two worst thirds in the group.

He is the older brother of Vullnet Basha , who has been under contract with Wisła Krakow in Poland since 2017 .
