Miguel Ángel Fraga Licona (born September 3, 1987 in Morelia , Michoacan ) is a Mexican football player on the position of goalkeeper .

career

Miguel Fraga began his football career in the youth division of his home club Monarcas Morelia , where he also received his first professional contract in 2005.

After he could not assert himself at the Monarcas, for which he came in the four years of 2005 and 2009 to a total of only 9 appearances in the highest Mexican division (all in 2007), he played on loan for various Mexican second division clubs . With Club Tijuana he won the championship of the second-class Ascenso MX in the 2010/11 season and, associated with it, promotion to the top division. With only 2 stakes in the game, however, he only had a small share and was not allowed to accompany the team into the first division. He spent the next two seasons at the reactivated Neza FC , where he developed into a regular goalkeeper in the 2012/13 season and played a decisive role in the 2013 Clausura win . In the promotion finals, however, the team then failed on penalties to the Reboceros de La Piedad and was then withdrawn from the league.

In 2014, Fraga was acquired by Club Atlas and completed a total of 45 stakes in the top Mexican league in the 4 seasons between 2014 and 2018. After the 2017/18 season Fraga was loaned to the UNAM Pumas , for which he did not play a single league game in a year and a half. After six months on loan for the second division UAT Correcaminos , Fraga was signed by first division debut Mazatlán FC at the beginning of the 2020/21 season .

National team

At the height of his career, Fraga was appointed to the Mexican national team several times in 2017 and was part of the team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2017 . However, he was not allowed to play for the national team.

successes

  • Mexican second division champions: Apertura 2010, Clausura 2013
