Michael Wells "Mike" Corby (born February 18, 1940 in India ) is a former English hockey and squash player .

Career

Mike Corby was active as a squash player in the 1960s and 1970s. With the British national team he took part in the World Cup in 1967 , 1969 and 1971 . In all three participations he was runner- up with the team behind Australia . In 1976 , he was in the main draw of the World Cup and was eliminated in the first round. The year before he was European champion with the English national team . He was British number one for almost eight years. His highest place in the world rankings was fifth.

In hockey , he took part in two Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he finished ninth with the team, and in 1972 he was sixth with her in Munich . In 1972 he scored three goals. In total, he played over 100 games for Great Britain and England.

He was Vice President of the World Squash Federation and President of the British Hockey Federation . Corby is also the founder and owner of a gym chain in the UK. He has been married twice and has four children.
