Jensen began his motorsport career in karting in 2007 , where he remained active until 2012. 2013 Jensen joined the single-seater racing and was the of Motopark Academy supervised Lotus team a cockpit in the ADAC Formula Masters . While his teammates Indy Dontje and Beitske Visser , who were already in their second year, won races, second place was Jensen's best result. He finished the season in tenth place overall. In 2014 Jensen contested his second season in the ADAC Formula Masters for Neuhauser Racing . He won ten out of 24 races and was on the podium 17 times. With 377 to 262 he won the championship ahead of Maximilian Günther . His teammate Tim Zimmermann came third with 224 points.
In 2015 Jensen moved to Mücke Motorsport in the European Formula 3 championship . With a second place as the best result, he finished the season in ninth place overall. In 2016 Jensen stayed with Mücke Motorsport in the European Formula 3 championship. A third place was his only podium finish and he was twelfth in the drivers' championship.
