The Military Ordinary of the Dominican Republic is a military ordinariate in the Dominican Republic and is responsible for the armed forces of the Dominican Republic .
history
The military ordinariate in the Dominican Republic provides pastoral care to members of the country's armed forces, who belong to the Catholic denomination. It was made by Pope Pius XII. Erected on January 23, 1958. By mutual agreement between the Holy See and the Dominican Republic, the seat of the military ordinariate is in Santo Domingo . From the proclamation of the papal bull of January 23, 1958, Ricardo Pittini Piussi the Archbishop of Santo Domingo was appointed the first military bishop of the Dominican Republic (military) in 1958.
