Mister & Pete against the rest of the world (Original title: The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete ) is a social drama by George Tillman Jr. from 2013 .
action
The film is about the two boys Mister and Pete in New York , who initially involuntarily spend the summer vacation together. Mister's mother is a drug addict, prostitutes herself and barely copes with everyday life with her son. At the beginning of Mister's summer vacation, she is arrested and leaves her son in the apartment on his own. Shortly before, however, she took in the neighbor boy Pete, who was badly mistreated by his mother - apparently with an iron. Although Mister is initially reluctant to look after the younger Pete, the two boys become friends and get by in the apartment during the summer vacation. They grapple with the police persecution, lack of food, illness, home burglary and street gang violence. Ultimately, first Pete and then Mister are placed in a home. After a certain purification from Mister's mother, she takes her son out of the home. On the first day of school after the holidays, Mister's teacher asks his students to describe their experiences during the summer holidays.
