MHD , real name Mohamed Sylla (born September 10, 1994 in La Roche-sur-Yon ) is a French rapper from the 19th arrondissement of Paris . His music is known as Afro Trap , a mix of Coupé Decalé, French Rap and Trap . Together with other rappers he forms the rap collective 19 Réseaux . His parents are from Senegal and Guinea .

In July 2016 he was involved in advertising for the German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas and presented the jersey of the Spanish soccer club Real Madrid . On April 29, 2017, he became the new face of the German sporting goods manufacturer Puma in France. In 2017 he had a big hit with "Afro Trap Part. 3 (Champions League)", a hymn to the capital's football club Paris Saint-Germain . In April 2018 he took part in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California (USA).

On January 17, 2019, he and three other suspects were arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to La Santé remand prison. He is suspected of being involved in a fatal brawl in Paris' 10th arrondissement on July 6 , which he denies. A 23-year-old man died from serious injuries. According to information from investigative circles, the police assume a dispute between rival gangs in two parts of the city.
