history

The village of Moisall was first mentioned in documents in 1264 under the name "Moyssalle" in the form of a manor village; in 1345 it was called "Moyzsalle". The place name was probably derived from the old Polish name "Mysl" ( place of Mysl ). Moisall was owned by the von Barold family from 1458 to 1551 . In 1551 Jacob Barold sold the estate for 200 guilders to Achim von Passow auf Zidderich .

Today Moisall is considered a parish village in the area. Until the Reformation, the main property of the Rühn monastery was in today's municipality .

On July 1, 1950, Moisall was spun off from the community of Klein Sien and expanded to include the towns of Hermannshagen and Moltenow. For a period of almost 50 years it was an independent community.

Together with the former communities of Göllin, Kurzen Trechow and Schlemmin, Moisall was incorporated into Bernitt on January 1, 2000.

manor

The estate was owned by Barold from 1458 to 1551 , then by Passow , later passed to Hardenack Wackerbart (1554–1604) on Katelbogen , from 1651 to 1661 in the possession of Kaspar von Vieregge as a pledge , after which the owners changed frequently, including Ernst August Rudloff . The Moisall manor house was built in 1912 by the architect Paul Korff on behalf of the then Baron Klotz.

After the end of the Second World War, the manor house served as accommodation for refugees. Today there is a memorial stone in front of the house to commemorate the land reform of September 3, 1945 . from 1945 to 1992 the manor house was used by various institutions and facilities. From 1992 the manor house stood empty until it was bought in 1994 by a private person who, however, was unable to implement the original plans of restoration and renovation.

In 2006 it was bought by a private company along with warehouses in the village. At that time the manor house was very dilapidated and in need of renovation.
