Monaj is located in northern Hungary , approx. 30 kilometers north of the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Homrogd 4 km, Kupa 5 km, Selyeb 5 km and Tomor 8 km. The nearest town, Szikszó, is about 15 km from Monaj.
