Aszaló is located in the north of Hungary , 18 kilometers northeast of the county seat of Miskolc . Neighboring communities are Csobád 9 km, Halmaj 6 km and Kázsmárk 9 km. The nearest town, Szikszó, is about 5 km from Aszaló.
